Parking
The following parking facilities are marked on the town map.
I recommend that you park your car at one of the following two locations:
Parkhaus Kloster (underground car park near the abbey)
Parking places on the abbey square
Other possibilities are the parking place at the cemetery and the car park of the shopping centre.
Warning: On no account should you park your car on the reserved parking place for the busses next to the school houses.
Parkhaus Kloster (underground car park)
The underground car park is situated on the road leading to
Einsiedeln approximately 200 m from the abbey square. It is spacious,
very well lit, controlled by video and has specially marked places for
women.
For hotel guests there are parking tickets that are valid for several days or for a single exit after any time. They are available at the Tourist Information.
Parking Places on the Abbey Square
These are very centrally located and therefore very popular and often fully occupied. Furthermore, they are limited to 3 hours. The parking tickets are sold at central vending machines. The upper parking place offers reserved parking for disabled people.
Parking at the Cemetery
On the road to Einsiedeln about 500 m from the abbey square.
Car Park Shopping Centre
The shopping centre Migros near the railway station has an other car park.
Parking Place for Buses
On the road to Einsiedeln about 200 m from the abbey square. It is free but exclusively for busses. Parked cars will be fined.
